About David

I’m a woodturner based in Vancouver, Canada working with wood timbers harvested from the Pacific rainforest.

David is a confident and creative woodturning artisan with many years of experience in both hobbyist and professional woodworking. He has made a large variety of wooden treasures from locally-sourced timbers and is continually focused on attempting not only to be creative but also to celebrate the elegant beauty and wonderful colours, grain patterns, and textures of native woods. In particular, he recognizes and celebrates the provenance of each timber back to its origin–the majestic tree from which it came. David attempts always to utilize the wood from trees that have died naturally or due to storm damage or natural causes and not to use materials from other wood sources in creative, artistic endeavours. Commmissions and assignments are accepted for customized pieces created just for you.
